Liability Policy Last Updated
9/15/2008
Chris O'Leary has
established this Liability Policy to explain to you (the visitor)
about the physical risks associated with the administration of any
physical activity related to sport, namely, baseball pitching and
hitting.
When reading the
materials on this web site, please remember that Chris O'Leary is
an analyst, not a doctor or other trained medical professional. In
the conversations that he has with people, his goal is merely to
try to help them — and the medical professionals that they or
their child are under the care of — identify, understand, and
address the possible root cause of the problems that they are experiencing.
None of the
information, instruction, comments, and/or advice provided by
Chris O'Leary should take
precedence over the advice of a doctor or certified health care
professional.
1. Consent
Your use of this
website constitute your consent to the terms of this Liability
Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Liability Policy,
your use of the drills discussed on this site is strictly
prohibited.
Chris O'Leary may
occasionally update this Liability Policy. When he does, Chris
O'Leary will also revise the "last update" date at the top of this
Liability Policy.
2. Scope of
Practice
The information,
instruction and advice provided by Chris O'Leary is designed to
enhance your baseball skills, expand your knowledge of baseball
pitching and hitting, and help to prevent pitching-related injury. It is not
in Chris O'Leary's scope of practice (i.e., proper legal
parameters and professional duties) to give a formal diagnose or
provide a definition evaluation of any visitor's medical or health
condition. All Chris O'Leary offers is his opinion.
Therefore, it is
very important that you receive a pre-participation physical
examination by a licensed physician before athletic participation
in, and the administration of, any program discussed on this
website (including any exercises, drills, or throwing protocols,
etc.).
Only a licensed physician can advise you on proper
technique when performing any exercise, drill or throwing protocol
advocated by Chris O'Leary.
3.
Accountability
Chris O'Leary
assumes no liability for injury that may result from the
information, instruction, and advice provided on this website.
You, the visitor,
assume all liability.
Again, please
consult your licensed physician, athletic trainer or strength and
conditioning coach prior to beginning any strength training or
throwing program advocated by Chris O'Leary. Only a licensed
physician can guide you in regard to the number of sets and amount
of time and/or number of repetitions for each protocol provided by
Chris O'Leary.
If,
at any time, you have questions regarding this
Liability Policy, you
may contact Chris O'Leary by e-mail at thepainguy@gmail.com.
