I've been writing about and exposing misconduct at the highest levels of the Catholic Church and, particularly, the behavior of a number of Cardinals who have spent time in St. Louis.
Recently, I was asked this question about Cardinal Burke... Shortly after this Burke was named AB of Saint Louis. Can you comment on how he handled cases like yours in the Diocese? What so terrible -- literally maddening -- about this is @archstl was holding meetings with Valentine, meetings in which he resigned. @CardinalDolan presumably was in those meetings. Dolan knew I had come forward. And did NOTHING to help me. Nothing. I came forward in mid March 02 and talked to @CardinalDolan who told me... I know Leroy Valentine didn't do any of the things he's being accused of. I know he would never do anything to hurt a child. Nancy Brown told me I was "misinterpreting" things. Very recently @BishopStika (Dolan OCYP successor) told me there was no record of my conversation with @CardinalDolan or Nancy Brown in Fr. LeRoy Valentine's file. I was told the same thing by a Review Team in 2011 when I went back to @archstl for help. Perhaps @CardinalDolan hid my existence from @archstl and thus Cardinal Rigali. The Matrix suggests I wasn't the only one to come forward w/ questions about Valentine in March 2002. I have a hard time believing Valentine's resignation never led to my name coming up with Rigali. No effort was made during Rigali's tenure to contact/help me. And I didn't know to ask b/c I didn't know at the time that Valentine resigned (I was traveling for work). Cardinal Burke wasn't installed until January 2004. Maybe Cardinal Dolan's efforts also hid me from Cardinal Burke. I have no doubt that @CardinalDolan is dirty. Dolan turned a blind eye to the abuse of me and others. Dolan Gaslighted me personally. But in our conversations @BishopStika tried to wrap up and hang everything around Dolan's neck. EVERYTHING. Hard to believe. One reason why I think the story doesn't end with @CardinalDolan is my omission from The Matrix. On May 9, 2011 I told @archstl of my conversations with Dolan. The Matrix came out in 2014. My report SHOULD have been in The Matrix. It wasn't. Why not? If it was entirely fault of @CardinalDolan as @BishopStika suggested then my May 9, 2011 meeting with a Review Team should have given @archstl the opportunity to update their records. Matrix updated. End of story. But The Matrix was NOT updated meaning there was more to hide. What would be worth hiding? I came forward during Cardinal Rigali's tenure in 2002. But was never helped. Even after Fr. LeRoy Valentine resigned. Then Cardinal Burke also refused to help me during his tenure. Maybe that was b/c of misdeeds by @CardinalDolan alone. But I doubt it. "Rigali retired in residence with the Diocese of Knoxville, Tennessee at the invitation of Bishop Richard Stika, who had been vicar general and chancellor of the Archdiocese of St. Louis when Rigali was archbishop there." FUCK FUCK FUCK I just found this and realized that they're all intertwined. Stika and Rigali and Burke and Dolan. Clearly, this is why Bishop Stika tried to throw me off the trail with his phony promise of assistance. Everybody's covering for everybody. It's one big St. Louis Mafia. |
