Swing Analysis - George Brett
Many people hold George Brett up as the poster child for
extension and the Power V at the point of contact. However, as
the photo below, and my new
analysis of the swing of George Brett, demonstrate, George
Brett's swing is consistent with the swings of most high-level,
major league hitters.

New Fast Pitch Softball Swing Analyses
Over the years I have gotten a number of requests to analyze
the swings of some high-level fast pitch softball players. I have held off
since my girls don't play fast pitch softball and as a result I don't
know the game that well. However, I have recently come to
understand that there is
very little difference between a high-level baseball swing and a
high-level fast pitch softball swing.
Michelle Smith's Swing
Aside from Michelle Smith's double (or false) load, there is little significant difference between
her swing and the swing below of Pete Rose.
Pete Rose's Swing
As a result, I have added
a number of analyses of the swings of fast pitch softball
players to my page of
hitting
video clips and swing analyses. The players whose swings I
analyze include Michelle Smith, Caitlin Benyi, and Crystal
Bustos.
Caitlin Benyi's Swing
I have also completed a PDF of a
frame-by-frame, flip book style analysis of a first base view of the
swing of Caitlin Benyi
(which is a VERY nice swing).

Welcome to My World
I love it when I get positive feedback from my readers -- especially
fans at the HS, college, and major league level --
because it counterbalances the
hate mail like this one I got
yesterday.
a checked out your site and I am sorry, but as a minor league baseball player who is about to become a scout, and a guy who as studied pitching mechanics for the last three years how can you sell your crap. U dont know the first thing about pitching and your
(inverted) v theory is crap, I wish someone could stop guys like you from taking peoples money and ruining kids arms.
I'm not exactly sure how I'm ruining kids arms by teaching
them to emulate
the pitching mechanics of Greg Maddux and Roger Clemens.
Whatever.

Swing Analysis -
Stan Musial
I have gotten a lot of requests from readers to analyze the
swings of some of the best hitters in the history of baseball. I
have decided to start this effort with an
analysis of the swing of
Stan Musial. This isn't the only clip I have of Musial, so
over the next few days I will be posting additional analyses of
Stan Musial's swing.

Swing Analysis -
Dustin Pedroia
I have long been interested in Dustin Pedroia's swing and I
recently came across a number of him hitting. As a result, I
just put together an
analysis of the swing of
Dustin Pedroia.

Swing Analysis - Colby Rasmus
I finally found a good clip of the Cardinals Center Fielder
of the future Colby Rasmus. As a result, I have just completed
an
analysis of the swing of Colby Rasmus.
