The Logic
Behind This Project
This project doesn't rest on an
extremely complicated logical foundation. Instead, it rests on a series of
what I think are a few fairly obvious observations.
1. Different Pitchers Have
Different Pitching Mechanics
Not every pitcher pitches the same way; not every pitcher uses
the same mechanics.
2. Not Every Pitcher Is
Injured
3. Different Pitchers Experience
Different injuries
Not every pitcher is injured, and not every pitcher who is
injured experiences the same injury.
All of this suggests to me that
there might be relationships (or
patterns) between pitching mechanics and injuries. That then
suggests that you might be able to reduce the risk that a
pitcher will experience an injury by modifying their mechanics.
